Cards for Hospitalized Kids

Doctors provide the medicine and CFHK provides hope, joy & magic through uplifting, handmade cards. Each card is unique, just like the child or teen who receives it. CFHK was founded in 2011 by high school student Jen Rubino who was diagnosed with a serious illness at age 11 and has undergone over 20 surgeries in the hospital since then. Jen's own experiences and struggles as a "hospitalized kid" inspired her to start CFHK. Anyone, anywhere can make cards and get involved with CFHK. The website, www.cardsforhospitalizedkids.com has all the information needed to make cards such as what to write, where to send them, ect. We give cards to hospitals across the United States and people can also request a card for a child or teen who is hospitalized and/or seriously ill. While CFHK began as a small, local endeavor, it has gone far beyond. Individuals of all ages and groups--schools, sororities, teams, companies, Celebrities & Athletes, & more--across the USA, and world send in cards, that CFHK distributes to hospitals. Some of the other countries that cards have arrived from include: Australia, Russia, Japan, Israel, Italy, and more! In addition to the cards, CFHK also provides autographs from celebrirty supporters, and athlete supporters. Such supporters have included: Olympians Nastia Liukin, Jon Horton, Danell Leyva, Jordyn Wieber, Aly Raisman & more, MTV Star Lauren Conrad, Actress AnnaSophia Robb, Singers Jesse McCartney & Cody Simpson, and many more. We are so thankful to be able to brighten the spirits of sick kids, with YOUR help!
